Executive Committee Meeting Dates: Tuesday 14th November 2017, Tuesday 27th February 2018

Meetings held in Staffordshire County Council Staff Club 7.30pm

RECENT MEETINGS

1) Norton Bridge Rail Project – Project Leader Matt Clark gave a marvellous talk in December ’15 about the £250m project going on on our doorstep with relatively minor interference to the community. This important removal of a long standing bottleneck to the West Coast mainline should be complete by April 2016. His drone flight arial footage of the improvements and details of a ground breaking Alliance contract were superb. For more details Click Here

2) Severn Trent & Stafford – our November 2015 meeting included an interesting talk by Ruth Farrell on the difficulties of improving water and sewage infrastructure into a busy town such as Stafford, whilst we as motorists often fume over delays to our journey it was interesting to hear the other side where the utility company struggles to improve its mains within tight constraints of an ancient community.

3) WW1 Messines Model at Brocton – at our October talk Stephen Dean gave a fascinating talk about the army camps on Cannock Chase and the model of Messines revealed by recent archaeology.
